  	Warren worked as an over the road truck driver, during the early 1920's and 1930's. After moving to Indiana, Warren worked at the Studebaker plant making cars. After they shut down, he went to work for New York Central Railroad, in the yard located in Elkhart, Indiana. He also owned a small farm in Osceola, Indiana where he grew Blueberries, corn, watermelon, cantaloupe, "country gentleman sweet corn", potatoes, "string beans in yellow and green", field corn for his cattle and various other vegetables. He also kept his "Golden Palomino" horse named "Trigger" after Roy Rogers horse., on his farm as well as a German Shepard dog named Rex and a Dalmatian. He also either started or helped his sons start Hostetters Nursery, which was later run by a couple of his sons. He also trimmed the hedges and other shrubs for their wealthy clients.

• Notes

  As a child growing up on a farm in Pennsylvania, Warren had taken a horse down to a creek, so it could get a drink. Unfortunately the horse ended up kicking Warren in the head and he ended up getting a steel plate put into his head, that stayed with him his entire life.
