  Came to the US aboard the Herder (Hapag line), departing from Hamburg and Havre and landing in New York 5 July 1882 with son Emil. They first went to Wisconsin where some of her other children lived, namely Andrew and Helena. They made their home near Norwalk (La Crosse) Wisconsin. In 1890 she and Emil moved to Nebraska. Her daughter, Helena Foth Schwarz and family, and son Gustav George Foth also moved to Nebraska at this time. Helena's son, Ed Schwartz, told of riding with his Uncle Emil with the cattle in a stock car to their destination. Anna Zabel Foth and son Emil lived west of North Loup, Nebraska, then moved to a farm where Will Foth now lives south of Ord - farther west of North Loup - and just south of the Valleyside school. Her house was later moved to the farm of Dale Mulligan, west of North Loup, Nebraska, where it is still occupied. She was buried in Mira Valley, but later removed to Ord Cemetery in 1951.
