  Address	1854 migrated to Louisa County, Iowa. It took 9 days by sailboat from St. Louis to Port Louisa, a great trading post, and the largest village in the county. August and Wilhelmina settled northwest of Wapello and for many years lived on a farm, part of which is now known as the "Uppermill Farm."
  Education	Wilhelmina obtained her grammer school education in a rustic log cabin school in Warrenton, MO.
  NOTES	As of December 1926 August & Wilhelmina had 13 children, 50 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
  FACT	Her father served 7 years in the Prussian War. At his retirement due to ill health, he received as a reward from the king, a gold medal for faithful service and a true soldier.
  Arrived in America	1841
  	Came to the USA with her parents at the age of five, along with 3 sisters and 2 brothers. The crossing was in a sailboat and took 49 days. After landing in New York harbor, they made another long trip across the frontiers to St. Louis, Missouri. From there they went to Warrenton, Missouri.
